My images can be called mindsapes. The motifs for them are primarily derived from the combinations of nature, distant memories of my childhood, as well as certain daily events. My prints employ various tactile techniques such as calligraphic sugarlift lines, softground impressions, and carborundum-textured surfaces. This is an effort in trying to create a dialogue between different printmaking mediums. I feel comfortable working with linear drawings of scenes or objects and creating atmospheric fields by layering a variety of light textures. With my work, I am exploring the possibility of creating visual poetry amidst ordinary days.
